Membership of Oxford Skating Club

Our membership year starts June 1st and ends May 31st of the following year. If you wish to join OSC please complete a membership form and mail it to OSC, Goggin Ice Center, 610 S. Oak St., Oxford, OH 45056. Most of our members are Junior Members, i.e. members under eighteen years of age, who enjoy all privileges of the club, except the right to vote and to hold office.

Another membership group consists of Senior Members, i.e. members who are 18 years or older.These members enjoy all privileges of the Club, including the right to vote and to hold office. Senior members are divided into Skating Senior Members, and Non-Skating Senior Members. The former are members eighteen years of age or older and skate on Club sessions; the latter are eighteen years of age or older and do not skate on Club sessions, and who have designated Oxford Skating Club as their home club.

Honorary members may be elected at any meeting of the Club after recommendation by the President, but three negative votes shall reject. Any honorary member shall be free from fees, dues, or assessments. He/she may represent the Club in exhibitions and attend ice skating sessions under the same rules governing active members. He/she shall not be nominated or elected to office or be a member of the Board of Directors. He/she shall have no claim on the assets or property of the Club. He/she shall not represent the Club in competition.

Skating members of the club who have designated some other club as their home club called Associate Members. They shall enjoy all privileges of the Club except the right to vote and to hold office.

Lee Ann Shoker

Besides being Miami's Assistant Synchronized Skating Coach, Lee Ann is OSC's Director of Synchronized Skating. As such, she coordinates and leads the Club's coaching staff and helps OSC develop long-term goals for its synchronized skating program in accordance with the Club’s mission statement.


Lee Ann is a native of Oxford who grew up skating in the Goggin and OSC. She is a graduate of Miami with degrees in Mass Communication & Political Science. While at Miami she taught skating and participated on the 1993 Junior National Championship Synchronized Team, the first Varsity Synchronized Team in 1995-1996, and represented the US as a member of the first Synchronized World Challenge Cup Team during her senior year. After graduating from Miami Lee Ann studied law at Ohio Northern University. Lee Ann has been coaching for over 16 years and is a member of the Professional Skaters Association where she is certified rated in group and team skating.
