Yankee Candle Fundraiser
Download the catalog.
Team managers, please get a packet for your team Saturday, February 13, 2010. Orders and money will be collected by Saturday, February 27th! Candles will be delivered 4-6 weeks later. Excellent timing for Mother's Day! Some items also make great teachers'/coaches' gifts for the end of the year! 40% of your skater's total sales (less 10% that goes to OSC) will go to the skater's Crystal Credit account, and if your team fees are paid, may be used for travel expenses or for next season. Questions? Email Angie Meyers (angelameyers73@msn.com).

General Fundraising Info
Each year, OSC tries to find fund raisers that will offer something for everyone. There are two types of fund raisers. The first is a club fund raiser. This will earn money for our general club fund. This money is essential to running our club. We are a non-profit club, but we still have operating expenses. Some items that are purchased with this club-raised money are the binders everyone receives each year, copies of forms to all families, our OSC website, and mailing of the newsletters, as well as other things. Last year, club fund raisers included the on-going Kroger Card Program, the Holiday Show and a booth at the ISI competition in February.

Some fund raisers are individual fund raisers. These raise funds for each skater that participates. The funds produced by these individual fund raisers are Crystal Credits. They are used to pay for team fees and also can be used to pay for travel expenses. There have been skaters in the past that have paid all of their skating fees with fund raising! That is why we offer so many fund raising opportunities. You can do them all, or you can do none. It is up to you. The more you do, the less you have to pay out of pocket. We know that team skating is expensive, and we encourage all to try and participate in some form of fund raising! If you have any additional ideas, or would like to help with fund raising, please contact Angie Meyers (angelameyers73@msn.com).

We are also open to accepting sponsorships and donations. If anyone is interested in supporting our teams this way, please contact OSC Treasurer Paula Murray (murraypr@muohio.edu).

Fundraisers for the entire Club
Kroger Gift Cards: This is a great way to help the Club earn money towards general operating costs (e.g. copies, flyers, etc.). It is very easy, just get a gift card from Cathy Leonard (gcl88@fuse.net), load it with cash or from a credit card, and use it to buy groceries at Kroger. For more details see News Mail from OSC September 2009 (No. 3) .

Holiday Show: This is our greatest annual Club fundraiser. Check back for specifics later this fall.
