ENTERTAINMENT BOOK FUNDRAISER IS HERE!
I am excited to announce our first ever Entertainment Book Fundraiser! This is an amazing fundraiser with great potential to knock out some of these team fees!!

Fundraisers are never mandatory, but the profit margin on this one is outstanding, once we sell the first 50 books (or approx. 1 book per skater) our profit is 50% per book, and your skater will earn $11.25 from each book ($12.50-10% to club) sold after our 50 book club minimum!  If each skater sold/bought one book each we would easily then be earning 50% on all of the other books making it very beneficial for everyone!  I ask that you please consider buying/selling at least one book each to help the overall club!

The books we will be selling are Cincinnati area books, but books from other areas are available as well. The books retail in stores for $30-$35, but we will be selling them for $25 each!  So we have a jump on the market, and on top of that, we will be getting our books sooner than they are available in stores!

You can also direct out of town family and friends to http://www.entertainment.com/discount/?groupID=971029 and they can order any city's book there and have it shipped to them. (There is a $5 shipping charge for ordering online). If you have someone take advantage of that, please let me know so that your skater get the proper credit!

If you have any questions, please let me know! Email Angie Meyers at angelaerfmanmeyers@gmail.com, or call her at (765) 265-0688.

And again, please AT LEAST consider selling/buying 1 boook for each skater, so that the whole club can earn the maximum profit.

RAISE FUNDS FOR CRYSTAL CREDITS WITH SCRIP!
Pam Schaible will be managing the Scrip fundraiser this year for the OSC. This is an excellent way to earn money for your skater's account (Crystal Credits), using the same money you were going to spend anyway! You simply purchase gift cards as gifts - which I know is very popular - or use them for your own purchases. The company then gives a rebate on the face value of the card. It is very easy to do. In addition it will help the Club, so please try to use them, even if you don't need money for Crystal Credits. Pam will be trying to build up the program this year, as it can help ALL of us. You can also encourage your family to use the cards - just have them use your skater's name when they sign up.

NEW this year - Pam will be ordering once each month on the FIRST OF EACH MONTH. Pam will stick firmly to this deadline so we will have the shortest turnaround time possible.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS: <---- click here to download detailed instructions
1. If you have not used Scrip before, get on www.shopwithscrip.com, go to "get started" and sign up. Be sure to put all the info in the blocks, and use our code: B27B5F1F12812, when it is asked for. It is very easy!

2. If you are already in the system, go to www.shopwithscrip.com and place your order.

3. Mail or give a check to OSC treasurer Paula Murray BEFORE the deadline (first of each month)

4. That's it! Pam will get your gift cards to you ASAP and your account will be credited.

Check out the hundreds of available retailers on the site, and plan to buy cards for your summer vacation! Check out the new Restaurants.com card! It looks like a great deal!

Questions? Email Pam at phschaible@hotmail.com, or call her at (513) 591-0048.

General Fundraising Info
Each year OSC tries to find fundraisers that will offer something for everyone. There are two types of fundraisers. The first is a club fundraiser. This will earn money for our general club fund. This money is essential to running our club. We are a non-profit club, but we still have operating expenses. Some items that are purchased with this club-raised money are the binders everyone receives each year, copies of forms to all families, our OSC website, PayPal fees for payments via webpage, as well as other odds and ends. Typically club fundraisers include the on-going Kroger Card Program, the Holiday Show, braided bread & cookie dough, and spring flower sale.

Other fundraisers earn funds for individual skaters who participate. The funds produced by these fundraisers are Crystal Credits. They are used towards team fees and travel expenses. In the past we've had skaters who have paid are large part of even all of their skating fees with fundraising! That is why we offer so many fundraising opportunities. You can do them all, or you can do none. It is up to you. The more you do, the less you have to pay out of pocket. We know that team skating is expensive, and we encourage all to try and participate in some form of fundraising! If you have any additional ideas, or would like to help with fundraising, please contact Angie Meyers (angelaerfmanmeyers@gmail.com).

We are also open to accepting sponsorships and donations. If anyone is interested in supporting our teams this way, please contact OSC Treasurer Paula Murray (murraypr@muohio.edu).
